The short version

Locke spends part of his working life on the aftermath: the intrusion nobody caught for eight months, the credential reuse that opened the whole network, the backup that was never actually running. Building platforms with that in recent memory produces different decisions, and it produces them before launch rather than after an incident.
Twenty years of C and Python
Locke came up on C, where nothing is handled on your behalf and a careless line costs you the whole process. That is where he learned what a system actually does underneath the abstractions.
Python is where the daily work happens: forensic tooling, log parsers, automation, and the data pipelines behind case work. Two decades of it, most written to answer a specific question under a deadline.
Tensor platforms themselves are TypeScript on Next.js with PostgreSQL, deployed to servers he provisions and hardens personally, on colocation running from Falkenstein, Germany, to the Netherlands.
The part he does not leave out
In the mid 2000s, Locke was involved in the cybercrime case federal investigators filed as Operation Get Rich or Die Tryin, one of the largest payment card breach investigations the US Secret Service has run. When the investigation reached him, he cooperated, and the technical intelligence he gave was described by investigators as exceptionally valuable.
He states it plainly rather than burying it, on the reasoning that a security consultant who hides his own record is not one worth trusting with yours.
